Australian Street Entertainment Championships April 2016
The top-rated free festival is always popular, and, like the Street Entertainment Championships, it’s located only a short drive from The Grand Apartments in Labrador.
Meanwhile, the Australian Street Entertainment Championships will see a variety of performers scattered throughout Surfers Paradise, based around four stages.
Each zone offers a unique theme and without a captive audience, performers will be putting it all on the line to intrigue and impress the passing crowds.
You’ll also be able to join in the fun and vote for your favourite act in the People’s Choice Award. Artists compete to be crowned the 2016 Australian Street Entertainment Champion. A list of performers at the Australian Street Entertainment Championships will be provided here closer to the date.
Applications are also being taken for talented performers, so if you’ve got what it takes, get your expression of interest form in as soon as possible.
The Australian Street Entertainment Championships will be held from March 25 to 28.
Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival May 2016
Next up, let’s take a look at the biggest free music festival in Australia; Blues on Broadbeach, which has become somewhat of a Gold Coast institution since it started back in May, 2002.
This year’s festival features an absolutely massive line-up, complete with The Bamboos, Big Daddy Wilson, Alex Hahn & The Blue Riders, Chase the Sun, Three Kings and many more stellar artists playing over six eclectic stages in the middle of Broadbeach’s pumping leisure and dining district.
The Broadbeach Mall stage offers enough performances to sate the appetite of even the most hardcore blues aficionados and it’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the extensive list of entertaining acts.
Importantly, the bustling event is very safe, well organised and offers all the amenities you’d expect at a major music festival, all for free. It’s also just a short drive away from The Grand Apartments in Labrador; the perfect base to soak up the sights and sounds of the sunny Gold Coast.
